Program:
Dave Harvey presented a program to re/acquaint us with the Rotary Foundation.

The Mission Statement of The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International is to support the efforts of Rotary International in the fulfillment of the Object of Rotary, Rotary's mission, and the achievement of world understanding and peace through local, national, and international humanitarian, educational, and cultural programs.

There are several ways to support the Foundation.  The Every Rotarian, Every Year initiative encourages every member to donate $100 US to the Annual fund. In addition there are opportunities to become a Paul Harris Fellow, or a Sustaining member; to join the Paul Harris Society  and eventually become an Arch Klumph Society member.

Donations may be made by cheque at the club  level, by mail, on line and even by wire transfer.  See Dave for information.

Our club sets aside $2500 to be used to match donations made by individual members over the course of the year.  The benefit is that the donor gets the tax advantage of both his/her donation as well as the amount given by the club (varies according to the total amount given by members).

If you make a donation by any means other than at the club level, let Dave know so that you can be included in the matching program.

Since Dave’s duties today included being finemaster and thanker as well as speaker, those present showed their appreciation for the program by a round of applause.

There being nothing further for the good of Rotary, the meeting was adjourned.
