District Governor Official Visit

Today's meeting was the annual official District Governor visit. The annual event features a meeting of the Governor and the Board of Directors prior to the regular meeting and a presentation during the regular meeting

This year's District Governor, Russell Bertrand, is a member of the Wakefield Rotary Club. Russ was a Past President of the Wakefield Club and served as an Assistant Governor. Russ presented a power point, which gave members an overview of his family, professional, and Rotary life. He also shared his goals and the goals of Rotary International John Germ.

Russ spoke about the Annual District Conference which will be a 4 District Conference and will be held in Providence in the Spring of 2017. He also encouraged members to attend the Rotary International Convention, which will be held in Atlanta, GA in June 2017.

Following Russell's presentation, Karen spoke about her project, the Ronald McDonald House, which provides accomodations for parents of children being treated at Hasbro Children's Hospital. Karen's McDonald House bank was passed around and filled by the members present.
