The Rotary Club of Ithaca Donor Advised Fund
at the Community Foundation of Tompkins County

The Rotary Club of Ithaca Fund was established in 2019 at the Community Foundation of Tompkins County with funds from the Ithaca Rotary Charitable Trust. The purpose of this donor advised fund is to support a broad range of charitable organizations and interests primarily in Tompkins County; the goals are in alignment with the Rotary motto, Service above Self.

The Community Foundation of Tompkins County is dedicated to working with all people committed to local philanthropy and civic engagement as a means to enhance the quality of life for all who live in, work in, and love Tompkins County.

History of The Rotary Club of Ithaca, New York, Charitable Trust
The Rotary Club of Ithaca Charitable Trust was established in 1980 as a fund to support charitable organizations and charitable purposes as defined by the terms used in section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Service code and under the laws of trusts of the State of New York. In 2019 the trustees of the Rotary Club of Ithaca Charitable Trust voted unanimously to move the fund and its administration to the Community Foundation of Tompkins County.  A Donor Advised Fund was established in January 2019.   A committee of Rotary Club of Ithaca officers and members-at large, chaired by the Immediate Past President of the Club, recommends fund raising activities and grant nominations at various times throughout the year.
