Ribbon Cutting
Rotary celebrated the ribbon cutting for the Crossroads Bouldering Park on June 29, 2022. Lots of hard work from our dedicated Rotary Clubs, and what a great addition to the park!!
Thanks to Jon Mortimer for gathering his family, brother Scott, and mother to cut the ribbon for our dedication to Bill Mortimer a past president of the Rotary Club of Casper.
Rotary Cares Golf Tournament
The Margaritaville Golf Tournament was held on Saturday, July 16th at Three Crowns Golf Course. Registration proceeds benefit Eradicate Malaria and Shelter Box.
On June 6th we welcomed Carol Salveson, Lead Dog Trainer and Board Member for Project Kenny.
On June 13th we welcomed club member Brian Deurloo with Frog Creek Partners to talk about Gutter Bin® stormwater filtration system.
On June 20th we took a brief look at current operations at the Wyoming Veterans Memorial Museum with John Woodward, Director of Museums, Wyoming Military Department, State of Wyoming
The June 27th meeting was the passing of the gavel.
July Speakers
On July 11th our own Luke Gilliam, Business Development Manager at Visit Casper, spoke about all the upcoming reasons why Casper is a vacation destination.
On July 18th our speakers were Dr. Robert Brick and Dr. Marlan Scully. They discussed quantum optics as well as the conference they held at Casper College.
On July 25th we welcomed Bill Winney who spoke about Nuclear Power and Wyoming.
Upcoming August Speakers
On August 1st we'll welcome Sarah Compton, Executive Director at the Wyoming Congressional Awards Council. Sarah will talk about enhancing communities and improving lives.
On August 8th we will have a presentation by Governor Gordon. This meeting will be held at the Ford Wyoming Center in the arena. You may park in the back lot and enter through the back door.
On August 29th we'll welcome Rotary District Governor Lee Vera-Nelson.
The Great Duck Derby
It's that time of the year again! The Casper Rotary Club Great Duck Derby will be taking place Saturday, August 20th in conjunction with the Platte River Trails Riverfest. Ducks will hit the water at 3:30 pm and the drawing will be held at 5:00 pm.
Who does it help?
Proceeds from the Duck Derby have been used to fund past projects including Rotary Park at Garden Creek Falls, Crossroads Adventure Playground and the adjacent Bouldering Park, support for the Wyoming Rescue Mission, Casper College Board Room, Gutter Bins/clean river project, the Wyoming Food for Thought greenhouse project, and the Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies food packing project.
Current & future projects include Crossroads Adventure Park Phase II (flushable restroom facilities, drinking fountains, and water bottle refill stations), ADA-accessible playground equipment, Bus Shelter Sponsorship, and the Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies (food packing project).

To "Gimpy" John Griffith and all of the time he has volunteered to serve our club, landing him as this year's Distinguished Service Award recipient.
To Dan Odell and his angelic voice for going above and beyond to receive the Service Above Self Award.
To Megan Peddycord Bratton, who used her professional skills to serve the club (and create this social media post) and receive the Vocational Service Award.
And many many other "thank you's" to all of our outstanding members who were recognized today for the work they do to make our club so amazing. Keep it up, team!

Imagine Comfort and Care: Making people feel included and welcomed is the most powerful way we can engage members. Listen to your members to understand why they joined Rotary and what they expect and want from their experience and take the course in the Learning Center.
Imagine Empowering Girls: Jones will continue the initiative of 2021-22 RI President Shekhar Mehta to encourage members to improve the health, well-being, education, and economic security of girls. Share your club’s projects on Rotary Showcase.
Imagine Expanding Rotary’s Reach: Over the coming year, Jones will visit eight service projects, each one representing polio eradication or one of Rotary’s areas of focus. The tour will provide examples of how Rotary can make a measurable difference, while also introducing Rotary to new audiences and to potential partners and influencers.
