Sharyn will talk about how the organisation functioned during COVID. Sharyn is a highly experienced and strategic executive leader in the national not-for-profit food and health sector. In her current joint roles as CEO of Meals on Wheels South Australia and Meals on Wheels Australia President, Sharyn has a passion for improving the health and wellbeing of communities through the delivery of high quality community services and programs. Sharyn leads South Australia’s largest community-based volunteer organisation and is responsible for 80 branches, 7000 volunteers and 60 staff delivering 4000 daily meals and supporting 11,000 people annually. |

A special evening has been arranged at the TAFE SA Graduates Restaurant. Gourmet Dinner provided and served by students in training $40 for three courses (3 choices) – meal only (prior payment to Rotary Club of Unley bank account) (+ drinks available by glass/payment by card only on the night)
Numbers are needed as soon as possible. Please advise as soon as possible if you would like to attend. via the normal meeting acceptance process. No later than Friday 12th March. Members guesta are welcome. It is essential that any special dietary requirements are known. Please advise Jerry Casburn via email if needed, otherwise no requirements will be assumed.

![]() Brownhill Creek Flood Mitigation

Construction of a new wetland at the southern end of Victoria Park / Pakapakanthi in the Adelaide Park Lands is designed to help manage flooding in and around Park Lands Creek, and forms part of the Brown Hill Keswick Creek Stormwater Project. The main construction works include clearing, earthworks and installation of drainage elements. A stockpile site has already been established to the north of project site adjacent Fullarton Road. Project Director of the Brown Hill Keswick Creek Stormwater Project, Peta Mantzarapis, says the wetland will have a range of features to enhance biodiversity and facilitate recreational use of the area, in addition to drainage and flood management. |

Currently one of Rotary's best kept secrets. Rotary Australia World Community Service Ltd. (RAWCS) was formed to enable Australian Rotarians, Rotary Districts and Rotary Clubs to assist disadvantaged communities and individuals through humanitarian aid projects. RAWCS has a financial infrastructure system that facilitates fundraising for projects that deliver humanitarian aid and charitable support in Australia and overseas. Projects are registered through Rotary Australia Overseas Aid Fund (RAOAF), Rotary Australia Benevolent Society (RABS) incorporating Rotary Australia Compassionate Grants (RACG), Rotary Australia Relief Fund (RARF), Rotarians Against Malaria (RAM) and Repurposing Medical & Health Equipment. |

THE SOLOMONS PROJECT UPDATE

The global grant application for funding to To provide 4 toilets, water harvester and 4 tanks, basins, hygiene training, in addition to garden, eggs and fishing improvement, and first aid/midwife training in community of 200 men, women and children in Dalousu Community, Langa Lagoon, Malaita Province, Solomon Islands, submitted by the Rotary Club of Honiara and the Rotary Club of Unley,. The award is in the amount of US$ 58,735. This is a major project for the club and an update on progress will be provided |
