Speaker: Penny Reidy - Adelaide Produce Markets Penny works at Market Fresh SA as their Marketing, Communications and Business Development Manager Her role is to showcase South Australian produce through the complete supply chain from paddock to plate. She runs a consumer facing campaign, Pick a Local, Pick SA! A Better Choice – showcasing South Australian produce to consumers. In pursuit of this, her role is very diverse and covers the whole marketing mix – from strategy and planning through to execution of events, digital and social media as well as media spokesperson and advocacy. Tonight Penny will talk about the impact that the Covid pandemic has had on our food supply and choices as consumers.

Speaker: Michelle Lawson Dialysis Escapeline gives renal patients freedom from their everyday surrounds. We arrange the setup of a temporary dialysis unit in remote areas where no dialysis is available. This unique service is provided twice a year. One destination is within Australia and the second destination is on a cruise ship. One of our aims is to help renal patients regain their confidence to travel. |

Join members and friends for a twilight picnic at Orphanage Park. BBQs available. BYO everything, chairs, food, etc. This is our welcome to 2021 and we all hope it is a better year. There will be a Boule (or Petanque) challenge on the terrain, that is the official name for the playing area. The terrain was funded through our club and we also assisted in setting it up. Speaker: Professor Nicola Sasanelli & Paul Duke
In 2016 Nicola joined Defence SA as Director of the Space Industry and R&D Collaborations project.
In September 2017 the South Australian Space Industry Centre was created, with Nicola as Director. His focus was to support space industry growth and increase international R&D collaborations in South Australia’s space sector.
In 2018 Nicola was appointed Adjunct Professor at the University of South Australia – Division of Information Technology, Engineering and the Environment and he was appointed on the board of the Space Industry Association of Australia (SIAA).
The Marshall Government will be partnering with the South Australian space industry to send a locally manufactured small satellite to low Earth orbit – the first State Government to ever embark on such a mission. “South Australia is embarking on a bold mission with industry to design and build a satellite to deliver space-derived services to the state – a venture never undertaken before by any State Government around the country,” Premier Marshall said. Also speaking will be Paul Duke who will talk about his career in Medicine. |
