Elizabeth Pekrul, Center, was awarded a certificate for Service Above Self for being selected as a runner up for Edmond Teacher of the Year by Edmond Summit Rotary. Club president Koorosh Zahrai, left, awarded the certificate and a check for $250.00 at the June 5th meeting held at the new Hilton Garden Inn, Edmond, OK. Elizabeth Pekrul is a 1st grade teacher at Clegern Elementary School. She was accompanied by her principal Teri Cowden-Draper who is also Principal at Clyde Howard Elementary.
