On October 12, we will be serving food at the River City Food Bank on Edison Ave in Arden Arcade from 10am-2pm.   Dave Jones needs 12 volunteers.  If you can help, please contact Dave. 

 

We will be helping the Foothill-Highlands club serve breakfast for the North Highlands Parks and Recreation District on December 15.   This is the parks district that we delivered pumpkins last week.

 

We will be hosting the Children’s Receiving Home at Old Spaghetti Factory on Friday, October 15 starting at 5:00pm.  All are welcome to attend.

 

Jerry Wright announced that the Greek Festival will be on October 7/9.  There will be food and entertainment.  All are welcome. It will be at 600 & 616 Alhambra Blvd across from McKinley Park.

 

The Human Trafficking Seminar will be this Saturday in San Diego.  Amy has registered to participate through Zoom.  If you want to participate online, you can join Amy at her office at 1555 River Park Drive.  The seminar starts at 8:30am.

 

Amethyst accompanied the Hayes’ on a trip to the central coast.  On Saturday, Amethyst spent the day on the back of their tandem as they rode from Morro Bay to Cambria.   They also spent time in Paso Robles tasting wine. 

 

Our speaker was Dan Walters.  Dan told us about the organization he works for now, Calmatters.org.   Go to their website to learn more.   He then discussed the state of California politics, especially under the Newsom administration, and discussed the issues in the November election.
