It was a great Conference and ESR was well represented.

Speaker – Gary Lentzsch, representing the Boy Scouts of America was introduced by Allison.  She has known Gary from her boy’s activities with the Scouts.  Gary reviewed the values of the Boy Scouts and the impact those values have on the scouts and their future lives.  He shared some of the projects the Eagle Scouts in our area have completed.   The list is long, and they are to be congratulated for their accomplishments.  The primary objective of an Eagle Scout project is to teach hands on leadership to the Eagle Scout.  It was pointed out that our very own Charley Rae’s son completed his Eagle Scout project by working on the placement of a solar roof at the Tahoe Elementary School greenhouse.

Leadership is most important in working with Scouts.  They learn life lessons that will follow them the rest of their lives.  They are loved, cared for, and respected – lessons they will pass forward.

Thank you Gary for being a long-time Scout leader and sharing such an important message!

Raffle – Our very own President won the raffle prize.  As is her style, she promptly gave away most of the raffle items.  Great leadership!

See you all next week.  Our very own Bob Deering will be our program.
