Tuesday night 4/23 we met with the Rotary Club of Carmichael at the Old Spaghetti Factory. There will be no meeting Wednesday 4/24.

Theme - April is "Maternal & Child Health Month"
Discussion on Dues by Tim Hayes. The information was clear, and the questions were answered. All seemed to understand and accept the changes.
Speaker - Past President Eric Steward, Director of Work Skills & Transformative Autism Program at Meristem talked about his career working with disabled adults in the autistic community, and his current experience with Meristem. They train young adults to become independent both in life skills and in work/job placement. This takes a great deal of support from the employer and the candidate's family. The Rudolf Steiner college on Fair Oaks Blvd is no longer a Waldorf college; the campus is now Meristem. They have dorm rooms for those who want to live on campus. The day program is free for students who are affiliated with Alta Regional Center. The live-in program is $30,000 per year for California residents and up to $150,000 per year for students coming from outside California.
Happy Fines - many Rotarians had news to share. Each one who shared received a second raffle ticket. One fellow was a bellringer, giving $100 to the club. He received three extra raffle tickets.
Raffle - the raffle winner pulled one card from a deck of cards, but it was not the targeted card, so that game continues.
