Thought of the Day: “Men are like rivers: the water is the same in each, and alike in all; but every river is narrow here, is more rapid there, here slower, there broader, now clear, now cold, now dull, now warm. It is the same with men. Every man carries in himself the germs of every human quality, and sometimes one manifests itself, sometimes another, and the man often becomes unlike himself, while still remaining the same man.” - Leo Tolstoy
Guests: Cathy Lee, Paula Smith and her English cousin Sarah, Jay Boatwright from the Point West club.
Tax & Accounting Minute: H.R.7160 - SALT Marriage Penalty Elimination Act discussed last week did not pass the Senate. Also, former President Trump's compiled Financial Statements were found to be exaggerated, and under New York law, even though no one was harmed, he was fined, and Trump and his family are banned from doing business in New York for 3 years. This will be appealed.

Speaker: Cathy Lee, the General Manager of the Carmichael Water District talked about the proposed merger between her special district and the Suburban Water District. Suburban covers 36 square miles, and Carmichael 8 square miles. They are hoping for higher operational efficiencies, reduced costs, and improved water supply reliability. When the river is high, surface water is the source, but when we are in drought, wells are used.
Happy Dollars: Kevin Wilcox showed us a photo of his new car, an amazing red Firebird. Carroll Dudley celebrated an anniversary. Bill Watson put in some happy dollars along with some advice for the water district. Allison Hamaker celebrated the Monday holiday, which was full of gardening and creative time.
