Introduction of visiting Rotarians and Guests: Keith McBride introduced Dan Phillippi, a Lt. Colonel from the Air Force Reserve, and Howard Mitchell, also from the Air Force. We also were honored to enjoy the company of Joe Scheimer, retired fighter pilot, our speaker today, and the current District Foundation Chair.

Randy Smith tells us there are four seats available at our table for the Foundation Dinner on November 18th at 6:00 pm at the Citrus Heights Community Center. George Gomes will cook a turkey for the YWCA Christmas Meal on Monday December 11th. We will bring sides. A sign-up sheet went around. I'm bringing mashed potatoes. Yum!
Happy Dollars: Today Jim Fritzsche is happy to celebrate the 32nd birthday of his youngest boy James Albert Fritzsche. Joe Scheimer is happy that he raised $70,853 in his quest for Polio Plus.
Veteran's Stories: It was amazing today to listen to the Vets in the room as each talked about their experiences in the different branches of the Service. We heard from: Joe Scheimer, Don Brodeur, Keith McBride, Dan Phillippi, Howard Mitchell, Carroll Dudley, Lew Wahl, Dick Hall, Don Cotton, and Jack Kimmel.
Speaker for the day is Joe Scheimer who shared with us detail about his 24+ years with the USAF, his interview for the Ken Burns documentary about Vietnam, and many historical facts and the timeline of that war.
Raffle: Carroll Dudley won the raspberry biscotti and gifted it to our speaker.
Meeting concluded at 1:22 pm. Thanks to the many who set up and take down, enabling our members to hear well and for some to attend from work or home.
