Betsy Gage reminded us there will be an event at Piatti’s Restaurant on August 18 at 5:30pm.   This event is for any Rotarian that has joined the club in the last 5 years.  Betsy invited any old-timers that would be willing to share some of your ESR experiences.

 

Bob Deering announced that there will be a Human Trafficking Seminar in San Diego on October 1.   Bob was involved in setting up this seminar.   You can attend either in person or through Zoom.   The cost is $50 per person, if you attend in person or $50 per Zoom link.

 

 

 

11 ESR Rotarians and friends, including DG Karen Cendro, helped serve 350 families Saturday.

 

Fund Master Laura Pajak was busy squeezing money out of members but there were no additional Bell Ringers.

District 5180 is having a Focus Your Imagination Seminor on October 18 from 9am to 1pm. The seminar will be on the 3 areas within Rotary that need constant attention - Rotary Foundation, Public Image and Membership.  All Presidents, President-Elects, Board members, Committee Chair, new members, and anyone else interested in these areas should attend.  Every Club needs a Focus and to Imagine where your ideas can take you!  The seminar will be at the Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church

 

Tim Hayes announced that he will be serving pulled pork sandwiches at the Firepit on Friday, August 26.   Tim also said we will have access to his wine fridge with a few hundred bottles of wine.  President Amy says she is bring dessert, possibly brownie sundaes.  Tim’s address is 5025 Patric Way, Carmichael.

 

Yuba Sutter has a new club.   We decide to donate $100 to the club to help them get started. 

PDG Fred Teichert was our speaker for the day and he shared with us the history of the four way test and some of the ways he has used it in the community.   

 

Carol Dudley thanked Fred for his help in supplying supplies for the Tahoe Elementary greenhouse project.
