President Elect Sean opened the meeting leading everyone with the singing of America followed by Here we have Idaho and the Pledge of Allegiance. Then she reviewed the programs for coming days and weeks.

Community Service Fred Reed spoke about several community service programs including volunteers to the Whitney School program of introducing the arts to elementary school kids. He also mentioned the volunteering of Jeff Leedy with drawing lessons last year and the upcoming year as well.

Paul Harris Dinner It was announced that this year's Paul Harris Dinner will be held Thursday, February 28 at the Crane Creek Country Club. The event will run from 5:30 - 8:30 pm at a cost of $50 per person. Event information and signup sheets were on the club meeting tables. RSVP to Bea: beablack20@gmail.com

Chuck Clark was happy because his daughter had gotten him more Oklahoma gear to wear.

Karen Lansing was happy to be back in Boise after a "McCracker Vacation" in Cancun where weather was only marginally better than Boise.

Jeff Leedy was happy because his life has been good, his marriage is very good and it was his 85th birthday. With Jerry Schroeder at the piano members sang Happy Birthday.

Marriane Barker was happy because she had won a massive $10 (weeeeeooo!) on a Superbowl bet for the Seahawks, but was sad for Paul Schmidt whose team (the Patriots) had lost. (ahhh, the pity)

Bill VonTagen, on behalf of Dave LeRoy, was happy to announce Abraham Lincoln's birthday (adding that Lincoln MIGHT have born slightly before Jeff Leedy)

Jim Steele was happy to give a quick market lesson about the DOW's growth from its first close over $100 in 1906 to its close over $50,000 this week.

And an disclosed Rotarian was happy for the recent Dawson's Coffee Hour hosted by Vern Gentry.

Vern Gentry was happy for a rare appearance at the club by Carey McNeal.

Her work includes research on western North American flora, especially potentilleae; discovered and described new species; over 15,000 collections eponymy: Senecio ertterae T. Barkley, Astragalus ertterneBarneby and Shevock.
