Speakers!
This Week's Speaker
Carly Kyle introduced Jennifer Parks, the senior director of development, and Elini Refu, the donor relations manager, from the Idaho Botanical Garden. Jennifer explained the need for expansion due to the current grounds being insufficient for the growing community (and the lack of indoor spaces). The expansion includes 10 acres of new space, with plans for a parking garden, visitor center, outdoor event venue, educational arboretum, therapeutic garden, culinary garden, and scholar garden. The expansion aims to provide more space for community events, better accessibility, and educational opportunities, as well as promote conservation and sustainability practices.
Next Week's Speaker
Dr. Huy Pham is a fellowship-trained breast radiologist and the Director of Breast Imaging at Boise Radiology Group, where he delivers advanced screening and diagnostic care to the Boise community.
Driven by a passion for health equity, Dr. Pham is also the Founder and Executive Director of the Pink Lotus Initiative, a nonprofit organization born out of a deeply personal commitment to global humanitarian work. The initiative focuses on bridging critical gaps in breast cancer care by providing life-saving mammograms, training medical professionals, and bringing vital healthcare infrastructure and education to underserved communities both locally and internationally.
Singing & Songs
We took a hiatus from songs this week due to a packed agenda, but look forward to singing with you next week.
