When current Rotary Club of Lahaina President Leah Lambros realized the Rotary year was coming to an end, her first thought was that she'd like for the club to start their new year with a bit of a financial cushion.  New projects often present themselves, and her wish was for the incoming board and membership to have some flexibility regarding unexpected but worthy causes.  Her next thought was "Fellowship!  We need to get together and celebrate!"

Both ideas came together perfectly in one very successful Social/Fundraiser.  On Saturday, June 18, 2016, we gathered at the Wine Palette in Kapalua, Maui - the perfect venue for our event.  Eighteen Rotarians (including five Rotary friends from other clubs and our ADG) were joined by over 30 of our friends and family to enjoy some great fellowship - the Rotary Way.

Special mahalo to guitarist, Gary Larson, for setting such an easy, comfortable tone.

Oh and about the fundraiser part?  Our "Instant Wine Cellar" was a great success.  The donations will be put to good use (scholarships?  food drives? projects for our keiki?) during the 2016 - 2017 Rotary year.  We'll keep you posted.

And in the meantime, here are some photos ...
