Allan Thompson presented the Raytown Rotary Club's annual "Service Above Self" scholarships to Janessa Riehle at Raytown South High School and Blake Shepheard at Raytown High School on May 7th.  These are $1000 scholarships, nonrenewable, established by our Club in 1997.  Since that time 53 students have received our scholarships.
Both students scored well academically and demonstrated numerous hours of service to their schools and community.
Janessa was a RYLA participant two years ago and has been in the Interact Club at South High.  Blake accumulated all kinds of hours on church youth mission trips and in Boy Scouts.
Janessa will be attehding MU in Columbia ad Blake has chosen Missouri State University in Springfield.

The 52nd Annual Installation of the 2013-2014 Officers & Directors is scheduled for Tuesday, June 11, 2013, in the tradewinds Restaurant at Holiday Inn CoCoKey adjacent to the Stadium Complex.  Reception begins at 6:00 p.m. with Dinner to be served at 7:00 p.m.  If you haven't already signed up at one of the recent meetings, please email your name, your Guest(s) name to Allen Thompson at or call 816.260.6573 for reservations.
