Newest Sacramento Rotary Fellow
Peter Dannenfelser II
Presented by Rob Scherer
Peter Dannenfelser is a Sacramento native, born one of five children.  Peter attended Rio Americano High School and is a graduate of Cal Poly in Architecture.  The last year of his college experience, he lived in Denmark and attended the University of Copenhagen.  The first exposure that Peter had to Rotary was as a Group Study Exchange team member.  His team exchanged with Turkey and then visited sixteen other countries. The late Jean Runyon was proud to introduce and sponsor Peter into the club in 1996.
An active and participatory member of the club, Peter has served as a board member, and was the club district liaison in both 2002 and 2006.  He has chaired numerous committees including most recently, Thought of the Day, Brown Bag and Large Club Conference Transportation.  He is a consistent contributor to Bids 4 Kids, Golf 4 Kids, Paul Harris and Eddie Mulligan fellowships.  In true dedication, Peter has attended six District Conferences.
For twenty years now, Peter has been the proud owner of his own architectural firm, specializing in the redesign and renovation of older buildings, churches and schools.  He is most proud of the redesign of the Elks Building in downtown Sacramento.
A community contributor, Peter has been an English tutor for those needing help with learning the language.  He mentored a boy with no father, whose mother said that Peter is the only real role model in her son's life.
Peter is married to Lori, and has two sons and two step daughters.  As a leader and a great Rotarian, he is deserving of the honor of Sacramento Rotary Fellow.  Peter is the type of person who makes our club more effective, productive and who helps to prepare us for the future.
