RCS Foundation and Donor Recognition
Rotary Club of Sacramento Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) that provides financial support within the Sacramento community. Local organizations request Foundation funding via the Projects and Priorities Committee, which reviews all requests and makes recommendations for funding. Last year, Rotary Club of Sacramento Foundation gave away over $350,000 (see Annual Report).

When members contribute to Rotary Club of Sacramento Foundation, they are donating to their "Eddie Mulligan." Eddie Mulligan was Rotary Club of Sacramento's Executive Secretary for many years.

"I'd like to donate $100 to my Eddie Mulligan."

This statement may be unfamiliar at first, but you will hear it quite often at meetings. Do you have something to be happy about? The birth of a child or grandchild, a promotion at work, a wedding or graduation? Show your happiness by standing up in a meeting and donating to Rotary Club of Sacramento Foundation.  If not done voluntarily, you may find yourself being "fined"(with notice) for that wonderful event that just happened.

All donations made to Rotary Club of Sacramento Foundation not restricted to specific programs, projects or events (eg, Golf for Kids, Bids for Kids, YIP) go into the Foundation's general corpus. Members are awarded an Eddie Mulligan Fellowship for each $1,000 he or she donates, as well as the following recognition:
