What a GREAT day it was out on the golf course at our annual Golf 4 Kids event.

The weather was wonderful.  The participants were amazing.  The food was good, the beer was cold and we raised a lot of money for some very special children!

I want to give a HUGE Thank You to Steve Raymond and his terrific team.  While the majority of us were just able to eat lunch, play golf, and then eat dinner, without a care... there were countless details that all flowed seamlessly that made the day so special.

It will be a few weeks before we will know how close we have come to our $50,000 goal to meet all of the request.  But even after all of the accounting is completed, I am confident that the Rotary Club of Sacramento will once again prove itself to be the community leader in compassion and generosity.

I also want to remind you of the upcoming Organ and Piano concert on Sunday, October 10 at 7 pm.  The concerts will take place at St. John's Lutheran Church, 1701 L Street in midtown Sacramento.  Parking is available.  Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online through Brown Paper Tickets.  All proceeds from the concert will go to the Rotary Club of Sacramento Foundation and the L17 Community Arts Foundation.

Here is a little bit of information about one of the artist, Rotarian and Paul Harris Fellow Francesco Attesti.

"Francesco Attesti is an Italian pianist of international acclaim. Among his generation of musicians, he is considered one of the finest interpreters of the Romantic and early Twentieth Century Repertoire.  Currently, Francesco Attesti performs regularly in internationally prestigious concert halls like: Philharmonia Hall of Saint Petersburg, Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Moscow, Mozarteum of Salzburg, Philharmonie Essen, International Piano Festival of Warsaw, Sarajevo Winter Festival, Cambridge University, Leicester University, Columbia University in New York, and the Conservatory “G. Verdi” in Milan."

And now, we can add to that list of concerts halls right here in Sacramento!

If I don't see you Sunday evening, then I look forward to seeing you on Monday!
