From the President

What an honor and privilege it is to serve you as the 99th President of this great Rotary Club of Sacramento.

The various themes for this year are:

Rotary International: Building Communities, Bridging Continents

Rotary District 5180: Dare Mighty Things

Rotary Club of Sacramento: The Joy of Service

Fines & Contributions:

$100 - Bell Ringer

$150 - Friend of Scot

$250 - Vision Caster

$500 - Hope Builder

$1,000 - Dream Maker

I want to thank all of those who made contribution to our Rotary Club of Sacramento Foundation (Eddie Mulligan) and to the Rotary Foundation (Paul Harris).  JD Laupe who contributed $250 to BOTH in recognition of the recent article on his home in Sacramento MagazineThat makes JD a Vision Caster.  Art Breuer who was celebrating Keifie's birthday contributed $100 to his next Eddie Mulligan.  Tim Pinkney, fellow California Lutheran University grad with me contributed $1000 at the Dream Maker level.  Walter Dahl, felt inspired (or perhaps coerced), donated $100 to both his next Paul Harris and next Eddie Mulligan.  Spence Gedestad, who was the chair of the Call Committee at St. John's Lutheran Church and brought me to Sacramento in the first place, Spence contributed $600. Carolyn Carr completed her next Eddie Mulligan with a $300 contribution.  Susan Drack¸ feeling only a little peer pressure at the head table, contributed $100 to both her next Paul Harris and next Eddie Mulligan.  Charlie Gray donated $100 to his next Eddie Mulligan.  And, Leslie Botos has pledged 1 dollar for very unit of blood with the Rotary Club of Sacramento contributes between now and June 20, 2011.  Thank you to all for you generosity!

I have led ONE meeting and already have made MISTAKES! Ugh. The date for Golf 4 Kids is Monday, October 4 at Wildhorse Golf Club in Davis. For some inexplicable reason I had the wrong date on the screen.

I look forward to a GREAT year together as we have fun, grow deeper friendships, and make powerful impacts here in Sacramento and around the world.  See you on Mondays!

President Scot
