Sacramento Rotary Fellow Tom Boxler
Presented by Beverly Brautigam

Tom joined our Rotary club December 10, 1987.

He's a man of commitment; he married Donalee March 29, 1958 so this coming March they will be celebrating their 52nd wedding anniversary.  30 years longer than he's been a Rotarian!

Tom went to San Jose State University and received a  BA in Accounting and, obviously, became a CPA.  When he joined Rotary, his classification was:
CPA Firm – National – Tax.
On August 27, 1993 he changed it to:
CPA Firm – International – Tax.
And on September 18, 1995 he changed it AGAIN to:
CPA Firm – Local Multi Owner – Tax

This was right after the firm of Boxler & Van Erp, LLP was established when he and Catherine Van Erp joined to start their own accounting practice.  Prior to that time, Tom had been a tax partner with Grant Thornton LLP for 23 years.

Tom is an Eddie Mulligan Fellow and a Paul Harris Fellow and was our Treasurer from July 2008 through December 2009.

As our club's newest Sacramento Rotary Fellow, Tom is retiring out of the area and we wish he and Donnalee well in their future endeavors.
