Whenever somebody asks me what I do and I tell them that we provide a service known as intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring I usually get an "o-o-o-h-h-h" followed by "so you sell equipment".  That is the first clue that further explanation is needed.  In a nut shell, our specially trained technologists monitor neural structures during spine surgery in an attempt to minimize neurological damage.

Here are two resources to help educate yourselves on anatomy, spinal conditions, surgeries and some things you can do to preserve your back.  First go to our web site www.orimtec.com. Once there, look for Surgical Animations on the left side of the page.  Another great source of information can be found at www.spine-health.com including information on exercises and other preventive measures you can take.  Take preventative action to protect your back and always consult your physician.
