This year's sons' day at the River Cats game was a wonderful change in venue from the regular sons' day lunch meeting at the Radisson Hotel.  My son and I had a great time meeting and talking with other members and their sons at the ballpark.

Our son Mac really enjoyed being the President for the Day at Sons' Day.  It was a great experience for him and his mother and I are very proud of him and grateful to the Club for providing him with this opportunity.  I'm not sure who was more thrilled with the visit to the dugout, me or the boys.

Great venue.  It was wonderful spending time with two of my four boys and the rest of the Rotary families.

We had a fantastic night at Raley Field.  The son's who led our brief group meeting did a great job, and a few fines (not many) were levied on some of the dads.  Following the meeting, we were provided a tour of the facility by Tony Asaro, Director of Community Relations for the River Cats – Tony did a great job leading the tour, and also took the opportunity to talk to the kids about the importance of honor, respect, integrity and most importantly character "what you do when no one else is looking" …. He provided a wonderful tour of the River Cats facility, and led a great discussion as well (Thanks Tony!) All of this was followed by a great dinner and even better game with the home team River Cats victorious over the Reno Aces 5-3!  Thanks to everyone for organizing a really nice event.

We had a great time.  My son Caden came home with his souvenir ball signed by Dinger and a foul ball that he got signed by several players after the game so he was thrilled.

The unexpected motivational and morality message to the youngsters (and adults) was effectively done and worthwhile! AND WE WON!!!

It was a perfect evening.  The boys did a great job, the ballpark was beautiful and the River Cats won.
