We had a great meeting with District Governor Jo Ann Lemmon’s visit. She brought us up to speed with what is going on this year at the district level.

Monday was also a day to recognize 10 of our amazing members with Eddie Mulligan awards:

Past President Hal Bartholomew was one of the 10 members to receive recognition for his 3^rd Eddie Mulligan. Then, not to be outdone by wife Past President Beverly Brautigam, he made a donation for his 4^th Eddie Mulligan in honor of the newest sports park in Elk Grove…

Hal Bartholomew Sports Park was unveiled on August 21, 2010. The park is named for Hal Bartholomew, a third generation Elk Grove native who was instrumental in establishing youth and sports programs in Elk Grove, as well as creation of the CSD’s park system. The 46-acre park features four lighted all-season artificial turf fields for soccer, football and lacrosse, three lighted softball fields, one lighted baseball field, lighted tennis courts, one meeting room facility, a playground, two restroom/concession buildings, multiple shade structures and a parking lot for about 480 vehicles.

Steve Fleming contributed to his next Eddie Mulligan for the opportunity to share with members about the Sacramento Child Advocates.

Bill Niemi also contributed to his next Eddie Mulligan to celebrate the arrival of his very first grandson.

Congratulations Bill!!!

Rotary Rooters continue to support the Sacramento Rotary Foundation by generously donating the fees they collect from playing at senior residences around Sacramento. A BIG thank you for their generosity.
