Bill Shea is a national and international aviation expert as well as the pilot setting a National Aeronautic Association speed record in a Globe Swift aircraft from Washington D.C. to Lawrence, Massachusetts.

Bill has published numerous aviation articles, two books and a memoir.  Secretary of Transportation Elizabeth Dole presented him with the Secretary's Award For Meritorious Achievement, for exemplary performance as the FAA Associate Administrator for Airports and advocate for the National System of Airports. 

Bill's former positions include Chief of California Division of Aeronautics, Director of Aviation for the Port of Portland, OR, and he was elected Commissioner for the Port of Astoria, OR.  He is one of the founding directors of the University of Nebraska Aviation Institute,
has served on the California Transportation Foundation Board, the Aerospace Museum of California Board and the Yolo County Transportation Advisory Committee.
