Peter Anderson, Senior Vice President, Strategy & Business Development,  joined Sutter Health in August, 2004. His business interests, experience, and skill sets include corporate strategy, market segmentation, physician group practice development and management, hospital development and administration, health care finance, and macro-economics.
 
Prior to joining Sutter Health, Mr. Anderson served for eighteen years as a Senior Vice President with the Carolinas HealthCare System, the nation's third largest public healthcare system. While there he developed and managed facilities and service lines, and founded, developed and served twelve years as President of the Carolinas Physicians Network, a 550 physician group practice.
 
Before being recruited to Charlotte, Mr. Anderson worked for Bain & Company, a strategy consulting firm serving Fortune 100 clients and major health care systems in the US and abroad. While at Bain, Mr. Anderson consulted for clients in the steel, textiles, furniture, rubber, financial services, travel and health care industries.
 
Mr. Anderson earned his Bachelor of Science degree from BrighamYoungUniversity majoring in both economics and business management where he graduated summa cum laude, and earned a Master in Business Administration degree with high distinction, at the HarvardBusinessSchool, being designated a "Baker Scholar" (graduating in the top 3% of his class).
 
Peter is a native of Rochester, Minnesota where three prior generations of his family practiced medicine at the Mayo Clinic.
