Another wonderful meeting this past Monday!

I do not have the totals of how much was collected for Polio Plus, but will share those totals with you at next week’s meeting.

 

A BIG congratulation goes out to Past President Tim Pinkney.
Tim was honored with an Invest in Others Charitable Foundation Community Leadership Award earlier this month in New York. Tim was proud and generous by completing several Eddie Mulligan's at the same time!  Thank you Past President Tim for your generous support of the Rotary Club of Sacramento Foundation.  And your President Scot rang the bell in honor of the work Past President Walter Dahl is doing in the community of offering his pro bono services to help a single mother and graduate of one of our shelter programs in town and her path to financial self-sufficiency.  Great job Walter.

 

A THANK YOU I forgot to make during the meeting was to Roxanne Yonn for donating the wonderful wine for the meeting! Thanks!

 

Susan Sheridan did a masterful job of introducing our latest Sacramento Rotary Fellow, David McKie.  Congratulations, David.

 

Finally, I want to encourage you to take advantage of the upcoming Wine Dinner on Sunday, November 7 at The Supper Club.  I will be a great night of fine food and wonderful wine.

Update…

We have the results from our Polio Plus giving on Monday.  Through your generous spirit we raised $2,319!

 

Besides each and everyone who donated, I also want to give a huge THANK YOU to our staff members Cindy Pringle and

Alex Seppala for all of their extra efforts in preparing for Monday's meeting...putting out pins, envelopes, milk cartons and counting the contributions.  Also, a big THANKS to Jim Culleton for printing and delivering our Polio Plus envelopes on short notice.
