Heroes Day
Chair of the Day: Karen Diepenbrock
Meeting Sponsor: Dick Ryder

When people think of a hero, they immediately think of someone who is strong, intelligent, handsome, and daring (and may or may not be wearing a cape). Upon closer examination, many different qualities than these become apparent when thinking about heroes. Courage, honesty, bravery, selflessness, and the will to try are just a few of the overlooked qualities of a hero. The definition of heroism changes with the context and time.

This Heroes Day our Rotary members that are veterans of World War II are being honored.  Hear stories from four war heroes and share in a celebration of personal qualities that we don't think about in our day to day lives.
