Announcing the revival of the Dive Bar Bus Trip
WHAT IS IT? Rotarians, spouses, family and friends board a bus that takes us around to 6 Dive Bars that you would never go in alone. These are Sacramento institutions, but just in a different category than Fairytale Town or the State Capital. In fact, one of the best is very close to the State Capital and without this trip, you would be deprived of the knowledge and experience of part of downtown that is not getting renovated. In business over 40 years and not ruined by renovation, Henry’s has a 4.7 rating on Yelp. You don’t need to have a cocktail at every stop as the group is fun loving and searches for the qualities at each stop that make it the top dive bar that the group selects. Extensive research of 15+ dive bar candidates has been conducted to take you to the best dive bars in this town. Thanks to Rotarian Kory Ley from Red Cross that did much research! When: Friday, March 22 at 2 pm to apx. 7:30pm. Where: Begins and ends at the Rite Aid Lot at Watt and Arden. Rides home will be supplied if necessary. Cost: $149. Includes drinks and light snacks. 100% goes to charity (The Salvation Army’s Job Training Program). ** Register: Through the Rotary office and on the website under Events or through the email that you received. John Frisch and Elfrena Foord, Co-Chairs – Drive Bar Bus Trip ** This is made possible due to the generosity of member Bill Allen who owns Amador Bus Lines and will supply the bus plus sponsors John and Maggie Frisch and Elfrena Foord and Bruce Hester who will pick up the drink and snacks cost. |
