Our Paint the Town committee needs your help! On Saturday, November 10 volunteers from our club will join 20-30 Club volunteers in preparing personal bags or "comfort cases" for foster youth in our community.
What would you do as a volunteer? Volunteers will help assemble a backpack of items including a new pair of pajamas, small blanket, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, soap, stuffed animal, journal, pens and pencils and a book. All these items have been shipped to a warehouse at the Pacific Neon Company. Volunteers will sit at long tables like assembly lines and each volunteer takes a backpack and moves down the line placing each of the essential items in the case. In the end, all the packed cases are put on a pallet, wrapped in the protective plastic wrap and later deliver to a local foster care organization.
We are looking for 20 volunteers. If you are available and would like to help please register now!
