These days, in this part of California, the McNamara name is synonymous with organic agriculture, but it wasn’t always that way. Next week’s guest speaker, Craig McNamara, is owner of Sierra Orchards and founder of the Center for Land-Based Learning. He’s also author of a new, best-selling book, “Because Our Fathers Lied.” In it, he discusses the legacy of his father, former Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara, who many describe at the architect of the Viet Nam War and the weaponization of the herbicide Agent Orange.
