What's Happening
Thank you to our Title Sponsor, Roger Beasley Mazda for taking drone footage of the start of our golf tournament!  It was a beautiful day and we hope everyone enjoyed being out supporting our 25th Annual Charity Golf Tournament.  It was one for the books!

Please join us for a club social on Saturday, April 27 at 4:00 pm.  We will meet at 400 Rabbits located at Alamo Drafthouse Slaughter. Lots of good parking and some good food, not to mention good people.

Bring a friend!

Come see us the first Saturday of each month.

We are so proud of our environmental project. The club was invited to speak at EarthX Conference in Dallas on April 23 about this environmental project.  We will share pictures and news of that event soon.

We appreciated assistance from Rotaract President Patrick Hanrahan and Shirley Diepenbrock from Rotary Club of Austin South at our booth in April.

Club representatives for El Buen's 35th Anniversary Celebration are Beth Long, Gary Cataldo, Jack Gabig, Roblyn Thorne and Bill Poplin.  It was a fun day and we are proud to support El Buen.
April’s Rotarian of the Month is Keith McComb. Keith joined Rotary in December 2000. His dad, Jim McComb (who is also a Rotarian), took Keith to a meeting of the Rotary Club of Oak Hill, introduced him to George, and the rest is history. The club was a natural fit. Rotary has always been more than just a meeting to Keith. He was in Boy Scouts, earned the Eagle Scout badge, and was active in his church so he naturally has a strong need to serve others.

Did you know this about Keith?
  • His favorite sports team is anything Kansas State! Football, baseball, basketball, women’s basketball, soccer – ANYTHING.
  • His favorite music is country and electronic dance.
  • His hobbies include mountain biking, hunting (deer, hogs, turkey), fishing. He loves to drive his classic 1979 Jeep CJ5.
  • He likes to visit wineries with Michelle and travel. He has traveled to New Mexico, Washington, Kansas and Missouri for mountain biking. On his bucket list is traveling to Utah to mountain bike.
  • He lived down the street from Dan Deerdown (St Louis Cardinals) when he was growing up, AND while mountain biking in a race once, he flew by Lance Armstrong who was on the side of the road changing a flat tire. Keith just blew on by!
  • Keith is most proud of his two sons. They have grown up, moved away, and are living and thriving on their own. He also is proud of being married to Michelle for 38 years come this August.
Keith, you are a wonderful example of Service Above Self, and we are so blessed to have you as one of our members. Thank you for your commitment to serving others and modeling it so well for us!
