Paul Harris Press Release

The Rotary Club of Gravenhurst hosted a luncheon to recognize those in Gravenhurst who have been awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship for their good works in and around Gravenhurst.Paul Harris was the founder of Rotary and the first meeting was held in Chicago on Feb 23 1905.In 1917 the Rotary Foundation was formed and contributions to the foundation are used to fund good works around the world.In honour of those people in Gravenhurst who have contributed so much to the betterment of Gravenhurst the Gravenhurst Rotary Club donates a sum of money to the foundation in their name so that as well as doing good work in Gravenhurst they are also contributing to the programs that Rotary embarks on around the world.
