Several Rotarians volunteered at the "maple-sugar-on-snow" station during the Maple Weekend at Whiteface Mt. (March 23-24) to support the Shipman Youth Center.  A very Sweet Event.

ImageOur Rotary provided several volunteers to operate the "Maple-Sugar-on-Snow" station at Whiteface Mt. this past weekend (March 23-24) to support the Shipman Youth Center.  The volunteers included Randy and Sibyl Quayle, Bob Hanna, Rick and Faith Brown, Kerry Gates, Al Walden, Don Woodlief, Gene and Betsy Gengel.  They served 100s of skiers at Whiteface Mt. sweet treats with the sugar-on-snow.  With the help of Mike Farrell from the Cornell/Uihlein Maple Sugar Station and Jon Fremante (Director of the SYC), the Rotarians helped raise money for the Shipman Youth Center.  Jon and several kids who are members of the youth center were busy selling maple syrup and maple cotton candy at Whiteface Mt. while the Rotarians operated the maple-on-snow station.Image
