Rotary International has a Manual of Procedure, the current copy which has a white cover. The colour changes every new publication so it's easy to identify the current copy.
The purpose of the Manual of Procedure is to provide Rotary Leaders with the constitutional and governance documents relevant to their service. The manual is published every three years after the Council on Legislation.
An electronic copy is provided to each Rotary club and Rotary officer.
The manual contains the following governance documents:
RI Constitutuion.
RI Bylaws.
Standard Rotary Club Constitution.
Recommended Rotary Club Bylaws.
Bylaws of The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.

Daybreaks President Elect Ali will be browsing this MOP over the next 8 months in her lead up to her club Presidential year to learn more about the workings of RI and our clubs requirements.

Above is the actual date that our annual MOVIE night supported.
With the $2221.00 raised plus the Bill & Malinda Gates Foundation contribution of $2 for every $1 we raise, this increased the total to $6663.00 for End Polio Now cause.
Great effort to Daybreak for again running the movie night, I believe we have been doing this for approx. 15 years now.
Editor comment:We all have work colleagues and this night can be made bigger with the opportunity of a work Social night out and helping us to increase the $ raised.
YES the movie night will be on again next OCTOBER 2026, so put that in your work diaries and be prepared. It's actually the easiest $ raising event opportunity we have, where else can we TRIPLE our money raised by sitting on our backsides for 2 hours.
AND if you can't go next year, perhaps donate $25 which will become $75.
RAWCS $500 Debit Card Project
This program is to assist financially in a small way to farmers who have been drought effected and identified by Rotary district 9780 that they have met the criteria and can be helped.
At our club meeting this week David & Shirley explained to members how they have now contacted the recipients that our club has been delegated to follow up and explain to the farmers what the next stage is for them to receive the $500 debit card for drought relief. David & Shirley said those they spoke to were most appreciative for the $ with one of the receivers actually crying when being given the news that they would be getting help this way.
Great job and well done David and Shirley for the follow up.
Warrnambool Show Preparation;
Wednesday had David & Shirley Watts and Liz Bligh helping out the Warrnambool show committee with art frames set up and then into the animal pavilion for the petting stall set up.
Thursday Chris & Janey Preston set up the craft entries and also hung the entries for the Art and Photography.
Warrnambool Show Committee Secretary Lynn Lyles and the Warrnambool Showgrounds Secretary Jenni Strain both commented how they were extremely grateful for Daybreaks commitment to help out with pre show set up.
Good job to those from Daybreak that were able to help as this helps us keep in the good books with show grounds as they let us keep our 2 shipping containers and trailer storage shed there for no $ cost to us.

As this evening fell in the Victorian Seniors Festival, we advertised the evening in the Archie Graham centre newsletter. Hoping to encourage some attendance from non rotarians.
20 attendees, biggest night yet. 11 Daybreakers, 9 Guests. Welcome back to David & Shirley Watts, caravanning north; Geoff Grec and Sergio Bacchetti have returned after 8 weeks away in France, Scotland, Turkiye, Greece just to name a few places.
Also Trish Williams is back from 5 weeks overseas.
Our own member Jodie Hill could not attend, however she sent along her husband Chris and his parents who have recently sea changed to Warrnambool from Nurmukah - Shepparton way. the night was full of social chit chat and the odd stretched story.
Thanks to all those who participated.

Shanika the coordinator for the above named programs explained to us where the programs are at currently.
Daybreak has supported both these programs and will going forward I hope.
The programs are worthy causes and help out innocent children caught up in family situations, abusive or financial stress.
Rotarians annually contribute toys or $ to both these and we are encouraged to pass onto family and friends the need and importance for the above to be supported.
OAKS DAY LUNCHEON
Daybreak is holding an Oaks Day Luncheon at the RSL. e are looking for your support to make this day an exciting place to be on the 6th November. We have the live broadcast on the big screen and sweeps on every race.
Please encourage friends to join you for a relaxing fun day in the warmth of the RSL side lounge.
Chris & Janey represented Warrnambool Daybreak at the official community opening on Thursday 16th October 2pm, officiated by The Hon Dan Tehan MP.
This memorial was the idea of Past President Janet Blackley from the Rotary Club of Warrnambool. It was 2 years since Janet first approached the RC Warrnambool board with the idea, and putting the concept to the Warrnambool City Council and cemetery trust. The tree is 2 dimensional sculpted metal artwork, designed to hold 300 tokens in the form of leaves or butterflies.
Each token will carry a message chosen by someone who has experienced the loss of a baby whether through miscarriage, stillbirth, or early death.
The structure has been made so further concrete panels with sculpted trees can be added to the side.
What a great club project this is and it started with a rotarians idea.
Then back to 152 Skene St for a bit of extra fun and fellowship.

Caravan Accommodation Program:
President Ian has advised that currently we have 10 caravans with clients in them, this is growing. The vans are located at a caravan Park in Warrnambool and these vans must be removed overnight every couple of months so they are not classed as permanent vans.

Harpo does so much work quietly every week managing this for Daybreak, call outs by the clients in day time and late at night to help with annexes becoming loose, power outages, etc etc.
rotary9780.org is a good place to start to be educated about Rotary happenings in our district.
AGM
This is a process that we as a club must constitutionally follow every year.
I see that Secretary Gerard has sent out to all members today the election of office Bearers 2026-2027 Nomination Form.
In accordance with the club bylaws- elections for the 2026-2027 Office Bearers must be completed within 5 months of the closing of the books from the previous year.
All club members have an input and are encouraged to offer candidate suggestions or even consider yourself taking on a role.
These positions should not be filled by the same person year in year out and it is only fair that we share the load. This keeps our club vibrant and fresh with new ideas as office bearers change.
The AGM only takes about 10 minutes at a normal club meeting which the date has now been set as November 7th
