Pictured with President Mehul is Cheryl Bellman and our Guest Speaker Sherri Symons from Aussie Wool Pellets.

Sherri has successfully tackled the challenge of low-grade wool utilization. Her pioneering business initiative transforms this underused material into wool pellets. Aussie Wool Pellets repurpose low-value crossbred wool into an organic, biodegradable, slow-release nitrogen fertilizer. Additionally, these pellets boast superior water retention properties, absorbing up to three times their weight. This characteristic, along with their user-friendliness, renders Aussie Wool Pellets a vital asset for gardeners aiming for efficient gardening methods and outstanding outcomes.

4 Daybreakers attended the Walk Against Family Violence on November 22nd.

Four Daybreakers attended the annual Clontarf Academy awards night on Wednesday 20 November at Warrnambool College.

Other attendees on the night were families of the boys, reps from the RC of Warrnambool East, Kiwanis, and representatives from the schools, and Warrnambool businesses and companies who engage with, and support the program throughout the year.

There were 5 boys who were recognised for graduating from year 12, others who were recognised for obtaining their Learner Driver permits and P Plate licences, and others who achieved awards for leadership, respect, and high attendances at school, and in the program.

President Mehul was invited to the stage to assist in presenting one of the awards, and to be thanked by the Academy for our club’s contribution to the purchase of the trailer . The trailer is used to store the boy’s gear on many of their sports excursions.

This is an engagement program. The strong bond and mutual respect between the students and Academy staff are pivotal to the achievement of outcomes for the students.

PolioPlus Society

At present, we have some 95 members in our group pledging a combined total of about $18,000 annually. This is quite a pleasing commitment however with over 1,200 members in D9780 that represents less than 8% of Rotarians who have actually committed to the cause and gone that bit further by joining the PolioPlus Society, pledging just $100 per annum to help eradicate polio.
Can I please ask you to personally raise the topic of PPS membership at your next club meeting to see how many have joined at your club? Also to encourage all those who haven't as yet joined the PolioPlus Society to do so this month.
Details and a Commitment Form to join can be found here: https://rotary9780.org/SitePage/polio-plus-society
Many thanks again for your continued support of the PolioPlus Society. Together we will End Polio.
