Pres. Chris collected the Silver EnviroClub Award. This is the result of all the hard work that PP Liza McCosh (our environment director) has done for Warrnambool Daybreak.

Cheryl Bellman hosted Rotarian Emily Bakhitah, founder of RTS (Rise to Shine) in Kenya. Emily is a passionate Rotarian who loves to share her journey with her foundation. District 9780 Rotarians met Emily at her Rise to Shine stand in the House of Friendship at District Conference, Emily explained her foundation goals and is willing to Zoom with clubs for further engagement and update us on the current activities with Rise to Shine.

As of last week $500 RAWCS Debit Cards have helped over 207 Rotarians in Murrindini, Rochester, Seymour, Wahring and Shepparton to the value of $103,500 impacted by floods and other disasters. Nationally RAWCS has provided a total of 2038 (RAWCS $500 Debit cards) amounting to $1,019,000 toward the Rotary Flood Relief.
Due to the recent bushfires in our country RAWCS has been active to assist the Rotary Districts and Rotary Clubs supporting their residents.

More than 21 million Aussies have participated in Clean Up Australia activities and events over the past three decades.
What was started over thirty years ago, by an "average Australian" Ian Kiernan, who had a simple idea to make a difference in his own backyard has now become the nation's largest community-based environmental event.
This simple idea ignited an enthusiasm and desire among the local community to get involved and make a difference. And surely if a capital city could be mobilized into action, then so could the whole nation!
38.5 million hours of volunteer time has been donated to clean up activities to benefit or environment.
