Rotary Fellowships Month, most of us have interests, hobbies, etc other than Rotary. It is encouraged that we should have other interests, this is good for the mind and wellbeing. Something to take you away from the everyday happenings, that happy place that helps you re energise for everyday life.

Presently there are approx. 135 Rotary Fellowships and 57,000 people belong to Rotary Fellowships, and yes Serg, they do have one or 2 to please you.
Rotary Fellowships consist of people who share a common interest in recreational activities, hobbies, professions, or cultural identity. These groups help expand skills, foster vocational development, and enhance the Rotary experience by exploring interests while developing connections around the world. Rotary Fellowships aim to have fun and create friendships.
Our past member Andrew Suggett was a member of the Golfing fellowship for a long time and he helped organise competitions in this local area for Rotarians.

At RI Convention in Singapore, I joined 2 Rotary Fellowships,
1: Rotarians for Bees.   
You don’t need to be a bee keeper, be a keeper of bees….
A couple of weeks ago I showed on my power point presentation the pollinator houses for bees and other pollinator insects, these small homes allow solitary native insects to have a safe haven in your yard, Liza took the opportunity and purchased one of these pollinator houses and it is now set up in her back yard, hopefully it will not be long for an insect to find this and move in. Great way to be helping environmentally and our grand kids should enjoy also.
2: BREW fellowship, Beer Rotarians Enjoy Worldwide.
Cost is $20 per year or $100 once up fee, this fellowship then donates 25% of its annual income to WASHRAG. Thats Water and Sanitation Hygiene Rotary Action Group. BREW realise you need clean water to have good Beer, so that’s the motivation to support the cause for clean water.
The purpose of BREW fellowship is to foster and encourage fellowship between and among Rotarians of all nations who have a love for Beer and through this fellowship support international projects of the Rotary Foundation.
This fellowship operates in accordance with Rotary International policy, but is not an agency of, or controlled by, Rotary International.
The fellowship organise a brewery tour where the Rotary International Convention is held each year.
What a simple way for me to be able to help the world, BREW Director Kerstin Duchardt from RC Kempten, Bavaria, Germany presented me with the official BREW badge and inducted me into this fellowship under the BREW banner.
I had to go find the nearest bar then and have a beer to celebrate. Cheers.

Thanks to PE Mehul and Vice President Liza for taking the reins while I was away. Much appreciate the effort and guidance you both provided to club members. By everyone stepping in to help out when needed, it does reinforce that the Daybreak show can just roll on when people are away. Thanks again.
Final Board Meeting and Disbursements.
The opportunity was taken to hold our final board meeting at a club meeting on Wednesday morning 5th June. With me being away next week, we needed to have this meeting so the final allocation of funds could be ratified by the board and allow enough time for the disbursement to be completed. On feed back I have received, some members enjoyed the opportunity to see and be part of this process. Not ideal to hold all the time at club meetings, but it seemed to work. Thanks everyone for understanding. Was probably one of the quickest board meetings in our club history.

END OF YEAR REPORTS: All Directors and Treasurer are asked to complete their reports for the Changeover and send these to Gerard so he has time to compile the end of year report ready for the changeover. If you are uncertain how to do this, then contact Gerard and he will be able to share with you copies of previous years reports.
As we move into Changeover season, invitations from other rotary Clubs are being received, notice that now that the new Grouping is happening we have received an invitation from RC Hamilton, this is due to the fact that Hamilton is now a part of our Group going forward.
