Attendance: Nooka counted a very respectable 32 members present as we head towards Winter. (Winter is coming!).
Meal: Fish and chips with a side salad. I often say you can’t go wrong with fish and chips. Our man had a red hot go last week.
Brendan teed off with a fine joke before the Tickler reported in Lew’s absence.
In reports;
Greg represented the club in Hall’s Gap as Jann Fiedler’s councillor. Jann and his parents, Sladjana and Christian, will join is on the 12th of June. Please make them welcome.
Rob reported the Robbo has been overtaken by Les in the footy tipping. Apparently, Les’ has picked eight winners for the past three weeks, possibly because he has been away and just getting the home teams. Three people who know nothing about football picked nine.
Rob also reported that the Find Your Voice Choir is progressing in the Australia’s Got Talent auditions and may appear on TV soon. Very exciting.
Bruce informed members he is recovering well from his recent surgery. Bruce may be absent for a while as he continues his recovery. We continue to wish him well.
Sam is facing heart valve surgery. We continue to think of Sam and send him our best wishes. If a member is able to help Sam and the club as a temporary Treasurer that would be much appreciated. Talk to Tim or Lew if you are able to help.
Lindsay conducted a world class fines session. To be fair, the simple fact that Lindsay had not absconded to Europe made it the best fines session we have had in recent times. Well done Lindsay.
Tim and Brendan called it a day and another meeting was in the books.
Rotary Horse proposal.
There has been some interest from members in the idea of buying a small share in a horse.
If you are interested, I will need to know by next Wednesday (5th June). If you do express an interest it does not commit you to anything, but we can then start a discussion amongst interested people about what we want to do. All friends of the club are invited; members, partners etc
If you might be interested in joining us, please let me know by the 5th. Reply to this email, send me a text on 0418582024, or let me know at a meeting.

Boré’s view.
Penno had a plan to make sure that we always had a fines master present at the meeting. His plan resulted in Rowan being chosen as fines master a month ago, and we haven’t seen him since. I might have mentioned it before. The important thing, in terms of politeness to Penno, is that I haven’t tried to make too much of it or discuss it publicly.
This week Boré has made me realise that I have been looking at the problem all wrong. I have been thinking about it in a very selfish way, only considering how Rowan’s actions affect the Rotary club rather than how the whole affair affects Rowan. Boré reports;
