Attendance – Hayessey counted 32 members and 1 guest. Peter claimed he had balanced the book, which is the only sure sign that the figures are doctored.
Meal – Mince in vol-au-vents. Now that all of Australia’s top restaurants have gone into voluntary receivership to avoid having to pay their staff entitlements, this is officially the classiest restaurant meal available in the country.
Bob opened the meeting with a tasteful joke about childbirth before introducing our President. Tim gave a tick of approval to both the bowls night and our recent shipment of hay to bushfire affected communities. Tim also asked members to support Hayessey’s upcoming trade fair.

- Lew reported that the Corryong coffee plan had been a big success. He also informed us the Corryong Coffey haircut plan may also be a worthwhile plan to take forward.
- Brendan advised us he will be attending a Rotary Grant Writing Course. Macca has submitted an apology.
- Rob spoke about the Peace Concert and the Peace Awards. Our club does most of the heavy lifting when it comes to ticket sales. The key message; come to the Peace Concert, bring your partner, bring your family, bring your friends. See Rob to secure your tickets. See above for details.
- Malcolm reported that the Auction Committee will meat at Ronnies place on Thursday 20th Feb.
Peter Lynch announced that the Warrnambool Racing Club was donating $13,000 to the Rotary Peace Concert. This is a phenomenally generous act of support by the Warrnambool Racing Club. We wish to thank both Peter and the Racing Club. No doubt this will allow the Peace Concert to continue to thrive as we move forward.
Mary drew out our winners in this year’s Golden Community Raffle. Our winner was V Cameron, with A Skinner in second and C Cusack taking out third place. The raffle was a great credit to Gerard, Bob, Brendan, Mick, Junior, and anyone else who helped organise it. We also wish to thank Nick Bolden and Hello World Travel for generously assisting with the prizes. 793 books were distributed to community groups, representing nearly 8,000 tickets and $16,000 injected into community and sporting groups in South West Victoria. Well done to everyone involved!
Mary reported that recently she had gone to school, attended the school swimming carnival, and went to Nelson with the Goodalls while Ronnie went on a cruise that apparently started in Melbourne, finished in Melbourne, and never really left port in between.
