Meal: Just mince slapped down on a plate. Like Neil Diamond singing ‘Sweet Caroline’ at a concert. People have heard experienced it from the man a thousand times before, but the crowd just lap it up.

- Penno is getting together kinder and primary school books to donate to a school in the Philippines. If you have any books you can donate, please drop them in at Penno’s work.
- Bob reported the Warrnie Hotel bushfire fundraiser was a big success. He thanked Lindsay, Les, Rob, Gracey, Nooka, Greg and Knuckles for their efforts in assisting.
Robbo was our guest speaker. He spoke in very entertaining fashion about some highlights if his legal career, and shared some very interesting story. Robbo also reported he recently travelled to Melbourne to pick up parts for the Volvo from a wrecker. Robbo reported he got a large selection of parts for $150. Penno advised him he had been ripped off. Last year this correspondent obtained a Volvo grill from a local wrecker here in Warrnambool. The man at the wreckers responded with disgust to my suggestion that he accept payment for part of a Volvo.

Robbo also gave us an update on the life and times of his Volvo. Robbo parked his Volvo in Richmond again. He must have been disappointed when he returned to find his Volvo was still there. As Chris and Robbo were driving the Volvo back to Warrnambool, they noticed a violent shuddering coming through the steering wheel. I assume that is normal for Volvos, as they kept driving all the way back to Warrnambool. It was only when Chris parked the car in their driveway that Robbo noticed one of the front wheels was sitting a concerning angle. It was then Robbo noticed that someone had removed four of the five nuts holding the wheel on, with only the locking nut remaining. As is common with Volvos, the problem had to do with the nut holding the wheel. Now, a Volvo with four missing wheel nuts – I assume that would be an insurance write off.
