The club headed out to the RC of Warrnambool East’s Hole in One competition for a barbecue and an attempt to pocket the car on offer.  Matt organised the event and Jon and Brendan did a great job on the barbecue.  Robbo brought his own clubs and looked the professional while Peter Kenna made a well-received and perhaps unintentional return to the club.   Roger Cussen adjudicated the golf styles of members and determined that The Compass had the most erratic style and won the inaugural perpetual safety helmet trophy.  We thank Roger for presenting this now coveted and unique trophy.  It is unique because the best way to win it appears to be not to do any practice prior to competing.

 

 

Rotary Horse Racing Report.

Sobering news this week that Dirty Angel has been sold to a new owner in South Australia.  Once again Warrnambool is down to just one Dirty Angel, and the other one is not for sale.  Naturally we will keep you up to date with any attempt by our smutty-named thoroughbred to take on the South Australian racing caper. 

Closer to home the good folks at Wilde Racing have advised us that Overflow Miss might get a run in Warrnambool at the end of February.  Shortly after that, Sirileo Miss will make her long awaited return from the twelve-month performance enhancing drug ban.  It is the most excited Essendon fans have been since 2017.
