Club welcomes Moses Levey.

Last week our guest speaker was Moses Levey.  Moses told us the incredible and terrible story of his childhood.  He was orphaned and cast out of his community in PNG at the age of four.  After barely surviving for many years he was eventually adopted by a young Australian couple and brought to Melbourne.

Moses is now running a project in his home village of Komea in the Southern Highlands of PNG.  The project aims to supply water to the 3,000 people in the village.  Prior to Moses' intervention these people had to walk a very long distance to access water.

We thank Moses for his fascinating and moving presentation.  Hopefully the club can find ways to assist Moses in his endevours.

Changeover dinner celebration.

Members, partners, friends and guests once again got together to celebrate our club, thank our outgoing President Lew, and welcome our incoming President, Tim.

Thanks to Lew on a great year as president.  Brendan did a wonderful job again as sergeant in the absence of Paul O'Brien.  Congratulations to Paul Harris recipient Tom Richardson.  Congratulations also to The Compass on his very well deserved Feral Award.  Matt was not at the dinner and when Robbo tried to call him to let him know he had won The Pig, Matt let it go through to voicemail.  Very feral.

Finally we congratulate Tim and wish Tim and Di every success for the year ahead.

Thanks to James for many of these photos.
