Rotary Horse Racing update.

Sirileo Miss looks set to run again soon, probably Sandown on Saturday.  Best of luck to connections.

Power of Song should make her debut in October.  We eagerly anticipate this first race, partly because the syndicate has nearly run out of money. 

Scissor Kick x Hussy Miss has just started training but is already looking fantastic. 

All of this is good news.  However, I need to mentally prepare you for some very bad news.  Please take a seat.  Make sure you put down any valuable or fragile items.  There is no easy way to tell you this.

Vassa Blue has retired.  Never again will we witness Vassa and Nozi Tomazawa gracing the race tracks of Queensland with their unique brand of what ever that was.  Your correspondent has nothing to add that could not be said better by the poet W.H.Auden.

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,

Ten years ago.

Ten years ago, Maxi gave us her presentation about Germany.  We all gathered at Wyton’s Cellars and enjoyed both her presentation and a three-course meal.  The desert was a German dish that Maxi had prepared herself.  It was absolutely brilliant.
