PRESIDENT REPORT

Caz and I had a great night at the Christmas Party, numbers were down a bit but those who attended had a great time.
Hutto made me laugh at the Christmas Party – he has been in 10 fights and has won them all by a minimum of 100 meters!
I was honoured to present the Royce Abbey Award to Brendan O’Neill (Bono), originally Past President James Mepham was going to present it at the changeover so as Bono was away we though the next best opportunity would be the Christmas party.
And the Ferrall award…
This will (or should be if the awardee turns up) be presented at the auspicious occasion of the District Governors visit this coming Wednesday.
The recycling project at the Warrnambool Racing Club is well under way, it looks like Hutto will save us a heap of money by getting Wheelie Waste to donate 40 bins, this will mean we just have to pay for the signage.
We have a Board Meeting this week and will discuss our potential involvement with the Nippers BBQ.
And just to top of this report, knock yourselves out with the following resolutions from the Council of Resolutions – with particular attention to item 3

Boré’s view.

Last week the club awarded the Royce Abbey Award to Brendan O’Neill.  Bono has been a wonderful contributor to the club from the day he joined. Well done Bono!  As always, Boré was on hand last Thursday to document the occasion.

We thank Boré  for another great cartoon.

Club celebrates Christmas.

Last Thursday club members and partners gathered at the other bowls club to celebrate Christmas.  We enjoyed a beautiful meal and excellent company.  Bono was deservingly awarded the Royce Abbey award, with the club making a donation to the Royce Abbey Foundation as a way of recognising Brendan's contribution to the club.

Robbo and Pip conducted and excellent fines session based on picking a club first 18 footy team.  We seemed to have great depth in players who could give lip and niggle the opposition.  The Compass described Robbo and Pip as 'Zig and Zag' before Googling Zig and realising that this may have inferred an unintended meaning.  Hopefully Robbo won't find out and launch defamation proceedings.

Congratulations to all those involved in making it a fun night.

Ten years ago, the club celebrated Christmas at Bernadette and Matt's place.
