We have two very good reasons to get to lunch this Wednesday - Ian 'Surf' McPhail and James 'Bim' Affleck will officially join our membership. Already active members, already contributing ideas and helping out, please come along and give these guys the Rotary Welcome. It's a big deal these adventurous unsuspecting gentleman have chosen to join the feral, it'll make it even better if you are there.
I hope the Hole-in-One score is hotly debated on Wednesday, by both the players and onlookers. It was a great social lunch and RC W'bool East have already extended the invite to come again next year on the 25th. We mustn't have been feral enough! I hope you all enjoyed it.

Last Wednesday the club exchanged its normal lunchtime meeting for a barbecue at the Rotary Hole-in-one competition.
Members enjoyed a fantastic day down at the bay hitting golf balls in support of Rotary, eating barely out of date sausages off the barbecue, and catching up with Rotarians from a variety of clubs. A big thanks to James and Brendan for organsing the barbecue at short notice. Thanks also to the RSL for loaning us the barbecue. Robbo reported that he won the nearest the pin competition while everyone else was under the misapprehension that Malcolm won.

Modern technology.
We have no need to speak to each other anymore. If we have a question, we ask Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri, or one of the multitudes of similar voice activated assistant technologies in modern cars. Pip Ritchie reports he has nearly got the hang of it.
Rotary Horse Racing report.
Last Wednesday, while members where polishing off snags left over from the Bunnings barbecue, Power of Song was going around the track at Warrnambool. Out of the gates, Pos settled in midfield, never threatened the leaders, and finished in lackluster style midfield. Syndicate members should expect a tap on the shoulder asking for more cash for training fees.
In other exciting horse racing news, we are about to unleash the Dirty Angel onto the world. The smutty statue's namesake looks set to make her debut at either Werribee or Ararat at the end of the week. Fingers crossed.
Finally, the horse we purchased at the Thoroughbred Club/Myeloma Fundraiser finally has a racing name; Overflow Miss. I don't know if it is an omen, but last time we had a horse with a name ending in 'Miss' it worked out okay.
