Attendance: Nooka tabulated 22 members, no visiting Rotarians and no guests in attendance.
Meal: The excellent carbonara made a long-awaited return.
David returned from Greece with some choice Greek jokes featuring some characters that should probably seek legal advice from Robbo. Our sarg then introduced, for the second last time, President Bono.
Brendan advised that;
- We will help Loved and Shared build some shelves soon.
- Some VIP’s and visiting Rotarians (who also qualify as VIP’s) will be attending our changeover.
- Thanks to Bob for organising the Golden Community Raffle again.
- Bono has gotten rid of almost all the Rotary stuff in his shed. Your correspondent will be seeking his advice shortly.
- The whole schedule for today’s meeting had been cleared to allow Nooka to do his fines.

- Paul brought us the wonderful news that the philanthropic trust has matched us to the tune of $5,000 for our May Racing Carnival can collection. A big thank you to Lindsay.
- Paul’s son just got engaged in the Orkney Islands. Bishop Scott offered to officiate. Paul is already in discussions with a travel agent about his presidential year travel plans.
- Nooka advised that T-Bone is leading the footy tipping on 89. Garry and Rob are in hot pursuit on 88.
DJ told us another off-colour Greek joke before Bob and Tim from the Bowlo stepped up to draw the Golden Community Raffle. The Golden community raffle raised about $45,000 this year for more than 30 local sporting clubs and community organisations. The club donated $6,000 worth of prizes and the roughly $550 cost of printing the tickets. Nick Bolden from Hello World Travel kindly donated the $1,000 third prize.
Tim did the honours and reached into the bag to draw out Bob’s reading glasses. He was wondering what he had done with them. Tim then reached into the bag three more times to draw out the names of our winners. Suzanne Spokes, Madeline Crowe and Dan Nicko will be advised they have won first, second and third place respectively.
We thank Dillo and Glenn for helping fold the tickets, we thank Tim for helping us draw the prizes, but particularly we thank Bob for once again doing a magnificent job running this great community project. Bob did note that the Port Fairy Genealogical Society still does not have a lamp, so hopefully they can use the funds raised to meet this need.
Then, at long last, Nooka stepped up to deliver his long awaited and long delayed fines session. Nooka’s quiz ranged over a wide variety of sporting, geographical and other trivia topics. Nooka could not hear most of the answers, which somehow improved the quiz as a spectator event. Well done, Nooka. President-elect noted it was well worth waiting for.
The barrel was drawn and Les collected the free meal voucher.
