2025 closed with members, friends and family collecting cans at the Woodford Cup.  A perfect sunny day fueled racegoers thirst and we collected 6,298 cans and bottles on the day. We also collected a further 1,600 odd containers from our bins prior to the races from previous events at the racetrack over summer.  A big thank you to all those who helped out before, during and after the event.

 

 

 

 

 

 

This week Lew brings us an update on Jon's pure blond beer in the tennis club fridge.  Readers will recall the pure blond had sat in the fridge all winter after Jon left it behind at our trivia night last November.  Of course, playing tennis in summer is thirsty work, so let's check in with Lew and see how the tennis club beer fridge is going.

 

 

 

 

Ten years ago, we took part in the 'Love the Liebig' festival.  Our Charter President played the piano accordion in lederhosen, we barbecued Kanski sausages, and raffled crayfish.  None of it made any sense but the public loved it and flocked to purchase our wares.
