Minutes.
Attendance – 24 members enjoyed our return to the Central Court. Only Gracey’s FTA spoiled an otherwise 100% R.S.V.P. effort. Well done everyone. Sam even reported the books balanced. Unprecedented.
Meal – A chicken breast under a white sauce with salad and chips was the perfect way to restart our meetings again. Thanks to Anne and Jason for welcoming us back.
How good was it to be back! Some members could barely remember where the venue was. Garry remembered the words to the invocation then spilled his drink all over the table. We are all out of practice Garry.
Brendan kicked off the meeting with two jokes, proving once again that quantity is often a poor substitute for quality. Our President welcomed everyone back, canvassed Christmas party options, informed us of the D.G.’s visit on the 16th of December, and spoke glowingly of Sirileo Miss.
In reports:
· The Treasurer reported that he had nothing to report.
· The President-Elect invited/begged people to volunteer to serve on the board.
· Hayessey discussed our involvement in various school awards and the upcoming Trade Expo.
· Garry expressed the firm belief that Jann Fiedler will be able to return home soon. The wonderful people at District have the matter under control.
· Bob discussed plans to watch the Jericho cup in a local licenced establishment.
· Brendan reported the Golden Community Raffle will go ahead. He also gave us a report on the project to assist James, with particular thanks to Rowan and Tim.
· The Pres. asked for volunteers to assist again in the Sinclair Wilson Christmas Tree project. Talk to Ronnie if you are able to help.
The meeting concluded with a free flowing fines session and plenty of O'Brien time for everyone to catch up.
We look forward to catching up with even more people this week.
